As Cyber Monday 2012 demonstrated, many LinkConnector merchants are taking advantage of the growing revenue opportunity that mobile presents.

CARY, NC — November 28, 2012 — According to IBM Digital Analytics Benchmark report on Cyber Monday 2012, 12.91% of online sales on Cyber Monday occurred from mobile devices. More than half of LinkConnector merchants have mobile sites, and these merchants outperformed this benchmark by generating an average of 22.2% of online sales and 19.72% of overall revenue from mobile devices.

Similar to other industry trends, sales from the iPad and iPhone dominated total sales in the mobile devices space. Sales from these Apple devices accounted for over 80% of sales and 85% of overall revenue generated from mobile devices. Interestingly, the average order value on Cyber Monday was statistically equivalent for mobile sales and online sales from personal computers.
