How long has LinkConnector been a network?LinkConnector launched in August of 2004 at the Search Engine Strategies Conference in San Jose, CA. What is a Pay-for-Performance Affiliate Program? The LinkConnector Pay-for-Performance Affiliate program enables merchants to pay affiliates only when the affiliates perform. Affiliates place merchant ads on their affiliate sites. Merchants decide to pay affiliates for successful clicks, leads, sales, or, with LinkConnector's Advanced Events, calls or go events. The essence of Pay-for-Performance is that the merchant pays the affiliate from the profits of these events, or for the event's marketing performance. Can I get paid for referring others to join LinkConnector?Yes. There are two ways you can earn money by promoting LinkConnector. If you refer an affiliate to join LinkConnector from a LinkConnector Affiliate Referral Link, you will earn $2 for that referral. The referral fee will be credited when the new affiliate is approved for a merchant campaign (within 14 days of signup). A referral fee will not be paid on an inactive account. Affiliates can recruit new affiliates for specific merchants using the LinkConnector 'Merchant Sign Up Campaign'. If you refer a merchant to join LinkConnector, you will earn the referrer $100 fee. The referral fee will be paid once the Merchant is accepted and has paid the set up fee, or (if set up fee is waived) made an initial deposit. How does LinkConnector get paid? Each merchant pays LinkConnector a transaction or network fee based on the commission set for their affiliates, per event. For Self-Managed Merchant Accounts LinkConnector receives 20% of the commission paid to the affiliate. For example, if the merchant pays an affiliate a $10.00 commission, the merchant would pay LinkConnector a $2.00 network fee. This would be in addition to the $10.00 commission paid out to the affiliate, for a total cost to the merchant of $12.00. For Managed Merchant Accounts, this network fee is 25.00%, and for Premier Merchant Accounts (by invitation only), this network fee is 30.00%. There is also a $0.0025 per event tracking fee. This fee is only charged for merchant-only events not involving affiliate traffic. Do I need special software to run my Affiliate Program? No. LinkConnector has a built-in infrastructure that does not require any software to be installed. The Merchant and Affiliate web-based interface can be accessed with one username and password. When new upgrades are added, they are seamlessly integrated and LinkConnector members will have instant access to all the latest features. How are cookies used?LinkConnector uses cookies to track and record a click event, determine how to credit a sale or lead event and to track and record a tracking event. LinkConnector also uses cookies to enhance a user's experience while in LinkConnector's member area (e.g., Affiliate Manger and Merchant Manager). These cookies do not contain any personal identifiable information. What about customers who have their cookies turned off?For now, cookie-based technology is the only manageable way consumer tracking for Internet e-businesses can be conducted. Fortunately, over 99% of all users have cookies enabled on their browser. On the few occasions where a customer has cookies disabled, the customer is out of the range of Affiliate tracking and events that occur cannot be tracked. |
